Back at it
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
We are so thankful to God for his faithfulness to our family and to the ministry of ACTION Zambia. We have been back in Zambia for over two weeks and we are settling in pretty well. Some tummy trouble and tears here and there, but overall feeling at HOME. We know that God has given us a special love for the country and people of Zambia, and we are privileged to be here. Special thanks to all of you that have prayed for our time back in the States and for our time now back on the field.
We had an open house, which was a great time to catch up with lots of friends!
Our children started school and are trying to catch up and to be ready for their tests at the end of the school year.
The Kakoshi kids will not be staying with us. However, we are helping to keep them in school and very happy for them to come visit us for dinner on Sundays. And the new arrangement means they can bring their smaller siblings along with them.
Our love for this place is not dependent on the current circumstances or season! The Lord shows us the beauty in this place! Even with the drought, we look forward to the way God brings good from every situation.
I bought and prepped and cooked my first Tigerfish... It was major...
We were able to go out and visit our friends, John & Victoria Chitambo. And we got to see the house they are building.
We also celebrated Ethel's 15th birthday. And, we let her babysit for the first time. We're so proud of her. Here she is showing off her birthday dress.
It's been a very full time for us! Please continue to pray for us as we recruit new candidates for the Champs program, work with the government and bank, catch up with staff members, and care for our crazy family. God bless you guys!

This small booth says "youth empowerment" and they are selling booze and smokes. |
