2020 - Are we done yet?

Hello, family and friends, how are you? We are just fine, thanks. Thought we would do a little check-in before we head into the holiday season.  

Some things that we are thankful for as we approach our American holiday of Thanksgiving:

1.  Our God is good all the time. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

2.  All seven of us are healthy.

3.  We had a huge rain this week that cooled us all down. Oh Merciful Jesus! It was has been so hot this year and we are thankful for every drop of rain. We can see some green grass quickly coming in already.

4.  Our female donkey, Babygirl, gave birth this week to (yes) a baby girl!!! She's absolutely beautiful, soft, fuzzy, and bouncy. She is a dream. We named her Susie.

Love. Love. Love. Love. Love.

5.  We have three Bible studies for our Champs and one for teen girls all going strong. Super thankful for the chance to keep doing ministry. Ciyanjano has been able to host a couple of small groups and our Reading Room is also busy.  

We were able to supply these fun study Bibles for the teen girls.

6.  Mango season is going to be good this year. Jealous? Just watch out for that sap...

And these are just a few of the things we are grateful for. As we look toward the end of this year and the beginning of 2021, please remember us in your prayers. Here is how you can be praying for ACTION Zambia:

1.  Pray for God's will to be done in our planning! We need wisdom as we prepare the ministry proposals and budgets for the next two years. 

2.  Please pray for the Huckaby kids to have a good attitude about doing school at home and to give their best. Pray for Tricia to stay focused, committed, faithful, and creative/zealous.

3.  Pray for good health and protection over us, especially for Kelly - energy and good habits.

4.  Our former sending church, Oikos, was very thoughtful in providing for us as the church disbanded and we became members and missionaries at Communion Church in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Soon, however, we will be facing a gap in our budget. Please pray that more monthly donors will join our support team. We need financial support for our family and also for the ministries of ACTION Zambia.

5.  Please pray for God to bless Zambia with an EXCELLENT rainy season this year.

And please pray that none of these terrifying camel spiders climb into our beds!
