ACTION Zambia has been hard at work in 2022, as Covid regulations began to relax somewhat. Camp Ciyanjano, ACTION Pastors College (APC), the Reading Room, feeding programs, and CHAMPS youth discipleship program have all been active during the first quarter of the year and we are excited to see what God has planned.
Kelly continues to serve as AZ Director, supervising the ministries and handling administration along with our accountant. Jailos Sakala continues as Facility Manager at Ciyanjano. AZ welcomed Pastor Frederik Bwalya as a new missionary recently, and he is continuing his work with APC. Additionally, Fred and his family are helping out at Ciyanjano while the Huckaby family is on furlough...
Which brings me to a furlough update. All seven Zambia Huckabys traveled to Texas on April 4th and after a long, long, long trip we settled into a little cottage at the Alto Frio Baptist Encampment in Leakey, Texas. We really thank God for a safe trip and a very warm welcome.

Our first month State-side has been wonderful and restful. We are enjoying a lot of excellent time with Kelly's family, and of course the kids are so happy to have time with their Mimi and Papa. Tricia was able to attend a women's retreat at the camp, which was a super encouraging experience. We've been able to visit at Mimi and Papa's church and also at New Fellowship Church. Kelly was able to share about Zambia at New Fellowship Church and it was such a pleasant visit for us; the church took an offering and their generous gift will go into our feeding programs account.
We will be in Leakey, TX until May 27th and then we are flying out to Washington State where we will be visiting supporters and friends around Mount Vernon and Bellingham. We will also visit our ACTION International home office near Seattle, and fly out to West Hills Church and our sister camp, Koinonia, both in California. Early September we head back to Zambia.
