First, at the beginning of January we started Ciyanjano's newest program for evangelizing and discipling kids. This is our new teen study. All of our teens who graduated from the first Ciyanjano Bible Club, along with a number of their friends began coming the second week of January to began an in-depth, verse by verse study of the book of John. We now have 20 girls and 16 guys coming every Thursday, adding another afternoon of ministry to our Tuesday and Wednesday Bible clubs, our youth program Champs on Friday, and the Saturday morning football club, we've got a lot on our hands - thank the Lord for the Champs and their desire to serve and step up!

Secondly, we had the most amazing gift in late January. Our dear friends from Washington, Dustin and Susan Rudolph sent their own 4 kids to South Carolina and came to watch our 5 kids for 6 days so that Tricia and I were able to get away from the ministry and our children for an unbelievable chance to refresh, talk and reconnect away from the pressure of daily life at Ciyanjano. If there was anyone crazy enough to take on our family it would be the Rudolphs. Dustin's an ex-cop, now an associate pastor and Susan is a nurse and they've got 4 kids. I'll just say that Tricia and I had a fantastic time at the beach in Ballito, South Africa. It's a truly beautiful, fantastic place. The kids loved their time with the Rudolphs and everyone survived with plenty of adventures. We can't thank God enough for this family and the time we had away - we only wish we had more time with them!
