December/January Ministry Update pt. 1 (CROSS Graduations!)

Greetings from the sunny Southern Hemisphere!

While many ministries and missions slow down during December and January, here at ACTION Zambia we seem to get busier and busier! We've recently had two CROSS graduations, two children's outreaches with the Champs at a local orphanage, loads of meetings, 22 interviews with new Champs, and excepted 20 new young leaders (our biggest cohort yet!), we have contracts to write, ministry budgets and proposals to create, and I officiated my first wedding for one of Champ graduates, hosted  a team from YWAM (in partnership with ACTION South Africa) to do community outreaches with children, worked at local churches and community schools with kids and did street evangelism with our Champs and Ciyanjano staff, started our new Champs discipleship group all while surviving the ups and downs of ministry and bureaucracy.

But first:

This group of CROSS graduates came from a church near Ciyanjano. A couple of ladies admitted that they hadn't really read their Bibles before they started this course.

Pastor Mumbi was a graduate from the first APC cohort. His church had 40 graduates of CROSS! I had the chance to preach from the gospel of John to well over 200 people and I was a little nervous!

Choir!

Proud graduates

Church family!
